Opensprints created open-source hardware and software for indoor bicycle roller racing. As a free-software alternative to proprietary racing software, it enjoys a much smaller setup cost that has allowed it to be used in over 30 cities internationally.
- Architect: We designed and built many iterations of the software in a half dozen graphic toolkits over the years before finally settling on Shoes for large-scale deployment on Windows, Linux, and OSX. There is a particular focus on real-time performance and cross-platform compatibility.
- On-Site Consultant: We travelled directly to clients to demonstrate, install, and train on software, hardware, and bicycles.
- Event Organizer: I located and secured venues, organized groups of volunteers and co-organizers, and ran stage events for hundreds of people.
